New Deal Beach Art (1/5): A beach scene by Saul Kovner

Above: A lithograph of a beach scene, created in 1941 by WPA artist Saul Kovner (1904-1981). According to the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Kovner was born in Russia and "After his training at the National Academy of Design [in New York City], Kovner maintained a studio near Central Park, creating paintings and drawings of the city and its people.
