New Deal Art: Boatbuilders' Houses, St. Johns, Virgin Islands
Above: This watercolor and pencil painting was created by Mitchell Jamieson (1915-1976), while he was in the WPA's Federal Art Project, 1936. Jamieson went on to become a very successful artist and served our nation in a number of capacities. An interesting (and also tragic) biography of him can be found here.
